WHO WE ARE

Sistaco Mineral Bond was born from a (sometimes creative) mother-daughter team who like to do things differently. Deciding nail polish just wasn't enough and not finding enough time to walk the dog let alone go to a salon, we developed the concept (like many good ideas) at home. The "who are we" comes into play in the form of 2 passionate women who love to empower others. Seeing our community connect through our Facebook group always warms our hearts. We never forget that we have the privilege of being able to work hard to build a business, a privilege not available to so many others, often by place of birth, and so giving back is a key driver for the Sistaco brand. We select "grassroots" charities that are also "homegrown" and do not receive the benefits of some larger charities. Where, like us, the hard work is done by themselves because of their passion..

OUR JOURNEY

My goodness, that was a long one that is far from over! First we took our concept to consumer and professional events across Australia. When he found it had "checked a box", international events and distribution soon followed (with more family members). Event packaging was one such production; ensuring cargo arrives (often not or backwards) and is set up from London to Dubai to Canada and everywhere in between; then on to the next event. We were exhausted! Oh, and almost never home!

Then 'once upon a time' Covid happened and we looked at each other to say; well, that was a "fun ride"; Time for a break. Or so we thought! Unfortunately, we just didn't give up that easily. 'Online' happened and if we thought we'd been busy before; we had no idea what was to come...

OUR APPROACH

Keep getting better and always give something back! This is arguably the phrase that best describes our brand. As mentioned before, we like to be different and that's why we want to create something unique when developing. Every product is thought through from formula to packaging to ensure it is the best it can be. Supporting our customers in the best possible way is very important to us and we try to make our community a group that everyone wants to be a part of; we believe we can do that, and that makes us proud. Of course we're not always perfect, but we continue to strive to be - or as close as possible!

Our task

We believe that every woman and girl is born with great potential, but not all women have the same opportunities. Sistaco is committed to providing women in Nepal affected by poverty with the tools and resources they need to build better lives for themselves, their families and communities.

How we do our part

The Sista Project was set up to support the work of our key charity partners. Through our support, our partners provide women affected by poverty, violence and hardship in Nepal with access to the information, skills and resources they need to improve their lives and the lives of their community.

resource hubs

The resource hubs provide essential services for women that include basic physical and mental health care, as well as professional financial and legal advice.

vocational training

A variety of vocational training programs are being established to provide women with targeted training in leadership, gender equality and, very importantly, further training and education to enable women to become more financially independent.

legal advice

We provide legal aid funding to hundreds of women. The help is in the Form of legal advice, representation and access to a lawyer.

microfinance

Through microcredit programs, our partners enable women to achieve financial independence B. by providing small loans that enable them to start their own business.

Our devotion

We are currently supporting up to 330 Nepalese women in our first project

Our ongoing expansion plan
